I am so excited to share a glimpse of my life, a sliver of my soul, many years packed into these simple, but heartfelt blog posts. I want to unravel the yarn and slowly roll it back up as I share what I love about life sprinkled with experiences that shaped me: DIY projects (Home Reno, Pleasant Hill Ranch, and Vintage Cars), Gardening, Life with Horses, IVF and Infertility, Workout Program (Weight Loss journey, weightlifting, and fitness after forty), Nutrition, College in my mid thirties, Fashion and Beauty Inspo: Hair/Skin/Make-up/Outfits, and my passion for animals – in that you will meet Hope, Bob, Maggie Poo and Sweetie Baby.

I hope you find something positive from my ramblings, whether you found it funny, relatable, or informative

I want to talk about things that are important to me. I want to prove to the world, including myself, that disabled people are as wonderful and as messy as everybody else. I want to address things that others might not want to or care about. And, of course, there are going to be times where I am very very silly. There will be puns, be warned. I’m also an aspiring author/creative genius, so expect odd bits of poetry and the like. Again, some of it will be silly. Some of it might be filthy, so if you’re my dad reading this, there will be warnings for saucy content, fear not.

I am definitely an empath and I tend to focus my future goals and ambitions around making sure I am working to better the lives of others. This have obviously carried over into my career choice of being a public interest/civil rights lawyer. I find the experience of taking personality test entertaining and eye opening, it makes me self-aware and more appreciative of some of my personality traits that I often overlook. […] It helps me feel a bit more in-tune with myself and who I am because sometimes in the midst of things (especially nowadays) it can be hard to check in with yourself and reflect on things like your values, goals, and personality traits that make you who you are.

WordPress seemed to fit all those criteria, and it’s free of cost, so I chose it to host my reflections

My name is Mallory, and I’m a third year nursing student in the faculty of community services. I’ve previously had nursing internships at the Scarborough Health Network, Mount Sinai Hospital, the Markham Stouffville Hospital, and most recently, the March of Dimes, which is a charity for people with physical disabilities. I haven’t yet decided which area of nursing I want to go into, but so far I’m quite interested in public health. I also hope to study abroad in Taiwan in the future, to improve my Chinese. If you ever see me on campus, my favourite study spot is the second floor of the SLC – I think it’s a hidden gem!
